Its that time of year, temperatures falling, big High pressure systems blasting the cold fronts through your bones, and in Far North QLD those same systems bring the warm trade winds to beaches from Mackay to Cape York. Cairns is a focal point with lots of kiteboarding and plenty of nightlife, plus regular cheap flights from any capital city. But watch out for those casuarinas by the beach !!
